Mexico Air
Major Airports and Throughput
Mexico's air transportation industry is relatively developed. Domestic and international routes extend in all directions. Domestically, taking Mexico City, the capital, as the center, routes lead to all parts of the country. There are a total of 78 airports, 1,492 air stations, and 545 heliports in Mexico. According to a report from the Mexican Ministry of Transport, in 2022, Mexico operated 1.8896 million passenger flights and received 167 million passengers. Domestic and international freight companies transported a total of 809,000 tons of cargo. Major airports are located in cities such as Mexico City, Cancun, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Tijuana, and they handle nearly three-quarters of Mexico's entire air transportation business. Although there are a large number of airports, the number of high-standard airports is limited, making it difficult to meet the growing demands of the air transportation market. The current Mexican government has selected Santa Lucía City as the location and converted the original military airport into a civil airport by adding runways, control towers, and terminal buildings, and renamed it "Felipe Ángeles Airport (AIFA)", which was officially completed and opened on March 21, 2022. At the same time, the Mexican government also plans to invest 653 million pesos in the renovation and expansion of the Mexico City International Airport that year, focusing on renovating and improving the facilities and spatial layout of Terminals 1 and 2.

International Routes
Mexico has air connections with many countries in Europe, America, Asia, and South America.
