China Adjusts Reciprocal Tariffs on the United States (Effective as of May 14)

The United States releases detailed rules for the implementation of tariff reductions: Starting from May 14, 2025, the reciprocal tariffs will be reduced to 10%, and the ad valorem tax for T86 will be reduced to 54%.
In order to implement the important consensus reached in the high-level economic and trade talks between China and the United States, in accordance with laws and regulations such as the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, and the basic principles of international law, with the approval of the State Council, the Tariff Commission of the State Council announces that starting from 12:01 on May 14, 2025, the additional tariff rates specified in the Announcement of the Tariff Commission of the State Council on Imposing Additional Tariffs on Imported Goods Originating in the United States (Announcement No. 4 of the Tariff Commission in 2025) will be adjusted. The tariff rate will be adjusted from 34% to 10%, and the 24% additional tariff rate on the United States will be suspended within 90 days. Starting from 12:01 on May 14, 2025, the measures of imposing additional tariffs specified in the Announcement of the Tariff Commission of the State Council on Adjusting the Measures of Imposing Additional Tariffs on Imported Goods Originating in the United States (Announcement No. 5 of the Tariff Commission in 2025) and the Announcement of the Tariff Commission of the State Council on Adjusting the Measures of Imposing Additional Tariffs on Imported Goods Originating in the United States (Announcement No. 6 of the Tariff Commission in 2025) will be terminated.
