Dichloromethane (DCM):
According to the latest data from China Customs, China imported 5.7 tonnes of dichloromethane in March 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 2.3%. Exports during the same period reached 27,173.3 tonnes, up 4.8% year-on-year.
From January to March 2025, China's total dichloromethane imports stood at 29.7 tonnes, representing a 59.2% decline compared to the same period last year. Exports, however, totaled 54,889.6 tonnes, reflecting a 19.9% year-on-year increase.
In terms of export destinations, in March 2025, China's dichloromethane was primarily exported to:
1. Turkey: 4,821.9 tonnes (20.8% of total exports)
2. Nigeria: 2,116.8 tonnes (9.1%)
3. Vietnam: 2,083.3 tonnes (9.0%)
Cumulatively from January to March 2025, the top export destinations were:
1. Turkey: 6,497.8 tonnes (11.8%)
2. Nigeria: 4,789.5 tonnes (8.7%)
3. Indonesia: 4,713.2 tonnes (8.6%)
Chloroform (Trichloromethane):
According to the same customs data, China imported just 0.2 tonnes of chloroform in March 2025, representing a year-on-year decrease of 100.0%. Exports in March stood at 124.3 tonnes, down 56.3% from the same month last year.
For the first quarter of 2025, chloroform imports totaled 0.2 tonnes, down 100.0% year-on-year, while exports reached 465.1 tonnes, a decrease of 41.8% compared to the same period last year.
Export destinations for chloroform in March 2025 included:
1. South Korea: 80.0 tonnes (64.4% of total exports)
2. Iran: 24.0 tonnes (19.3%)
3. Ukraine: 20.0 tonnes (16.1%)
From January to March 2025, exports were mainly distributed as follows:
1. South Korea: 356.1 tonnes (76.6%)
