34th Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair to Open on May 17

The 34th Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair (referred to as "Harbin Fair") is set to take place from May 17 to 21, 2025, at the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center. The fair will open to the general public starting May 18.
Held under the theme "Building a New Hub for Northward Opening, Sharing New Opportunities for Revitalization and Development," this year's Harbin Fair aims to serve as a high-level platform for trade and investment cooperation, a hub for China-Russia regional collaboration, a driver of industry revitalization through innovation, and a showcase for expanding domestic demand and boosting consumption.
Diverse Exhibition Layout, Major Industry Players Gather
The 2025 Harbin Fair will span over 600,000 square meters, featuring a main venue at the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center and several satellite venues, including Xilong Market, Harbin Western Red Square, Hongqi Furniture City, and the Dahei River Island International Trade City.
The main venue covers 55,000 square meters and is divided into six themed exhibition areas: International and Hong Kong/Macao/Taiwan, Provincial and Central SOE Cooperation, Revitalizing Heilongjiang, Major Equipment, Intelligent Manufacturing, and Green Food. As of now, exhibitors from 33 countries and regions and 22 provinces and municipalities in China have registered, with nearly 1,400 companies participating.
Among them are around 20 central and regional state-owned enterprises such as AECC (China Aviation Engine Corporation), CNPC, China Mobile, CFHI (China First Heavy Industries), China Southern Airlines, Ma'anshan Iron & Steel, Xiamen Engineering Machinery, Moutai, Haier, Inspur, and Lushang Group. The main exhibition hall boasts a 100% rate of customized booths, catering to the diverse and tailored needs of exhibitors and buyers.

In keeping with the motto "A Better Fair, A Better City," a series of consumption promotion campaigns will be launched during the fair to mutually reinforce event and city development.

Well-Prepared with Fresh Innovations
With less than a month until the grand opening, preparations for the fair are progressing smoothly. A major highlight this year is the introduction of dual guest-of-honor countries—Thailand and Mongolia. Thailand will host a specialty goods exhibition, while Mongolia will present an economic, trade, and cultural showcase.
China's Shandong Province has been named the guest-of-honor province, bringing 62 featured brands. The city of Daqing will serve as the theme city, spotlighting the region's emerging industrial capabilities and showcasing its modern industrial development.
