Customs data show that in November 2025, China imported 7,700 tonnes of gum resin, down 9.31% month on month and 5.99% year on year. Over the same period, exports totalled 9,000 tonnes, representing an 18.52% month-on-month increase and a 0.48% rise compared with a year earlier. From January to November 2025, China's cumulative gum resin imports reached 95,400 tonnes, up 0.72% year on year, while cumulative exports climbed to 110,800 tonnes, marking an 11.67% increase from the same period last year.
During the January–November period, China's gum resin imports were mainly sourced from Taiwan, China, which supplied 37,300 tonnes and accounted for 39.15% of total imports. Thailand ranked second with 17,300 tonnes, or 18.12%, followed by Germany at 11,400 tonnes (11.99%), Malaysia at 11,200 tonnes (11.76%), and South Korea at 9,600 tonnes (10.11%). On the export side, Russia remained the dominant destination, absorbing 69,200 tonnes and representing a 62.43% share of total exports. Other key export markets included Pakistan with 6,000 tonnes (5.40%), Vietnam with 4,500 tonnes (4.06%), Uzbekistan with 3,900 tonnes (3.49%), and South Korea with 3,700 tonnes (3.36%).
