China's propylene oxide trade recorded a broad decline in both imports and exports in February 2026 and during the January–February period, according to customs data.
In February 2026, China imported 8,700 metric tons of propylene oxide, down 16.1% year-on-year. Thailand remained the dominant supplier, shipping 6,800 metric tons and accounting for 78.0% of total imports. Singapore supplied 1,900 metric tons, representing the remaining 22.0%.
Exports during the month totaled 20 metric tons, a sharp 87.5% year-on-year decline. Cambodia was the sole destination, receiving 100% of China's propylene oxide exports.
For the January–February 2026 period, imports totaled 17,700 metric tons, down 26.7% year-on-year. Thailand supplied 13,000 metric tons, accounting for 73.7% of total imports. Saudi Arabia contributed 2,700 metric tons, or 15.5%, while Singapore supplied 1,900 metric tons, representing 10.9%.
Exports for the two-month period totaled 54 metric tons, down 82.5% year-on-year. Cambodia was the largest destination, receiving 20 metric tons (36.0%), followed by Thailand with 18 metric tons (33.1%) and the United Arab Emirates with 17 metric tons (30.8%).
