China's EDC Trade in November 2025: Imports Surge Year on Year While Exports Continue to Decline

According to the latest customs data, in November 2025, China's imports of EDC products totalled 39,800 tonnes, posting a marked year-on-year increase while recording a 14.05% month-on-month decline. Over the same period, China's exports of EDC products reached 160 tonnes, representing a 27.27% year-on-year decrease but a 15.32% month-on-month increase.

From January to November 2025, China's cumulative imports of EDC products amounted to 350,300 tonnes, surging 317.44% year on year. Cumulative exports over the same period stood at 1,840.25 tonnes, down 74.84% compared with the previous year.

In terms of trade partners, South Korea and Indonesia were China's main sources of EDC imports in November 2025. Imports from South Korea reached 32,500 tonnes, while those from Indonesia totalled 7,300 tonnes, both conducted under general trade. During the same month, China's EDC exports were primarily destined for Vietnam, Russia, Kenya and Nigeria, with shipments of 100 tonnes to Vietnam and 20 tonnes each to Russia, Kenya and Nigeria, mainly via general trade.

On a cumulative basis from January to November 2025, South Korea, the United States and Oman remained China's leading EDC import sources, with import volumes of 262,600 tonnes, 66,300 tonnes and 10,000 tonnes, respectively. China's major export destinations for EDC products during this period were Vietnam, Nigeria, Taiwan and Angola. Export volumes included 1,420.25 tonnes to Vietnam, accounting for 77.18% of the total, 80 tonnes to Nigeria (4.35%), 61.25 tonnes to Taiwan (3.33%) and 60 tonnes to Angola (3.26%).
