China's Epichlorohydrin Trade Shows Decline in Imports but Steady Export Growth in October 2025
According to the latest customs data, China's epichlorohydrin trade experienced significant fluctuations in October 2025. Imports reached 24.3 tonnes, marking a month-on-month decline of 44.9% and a year-on-year drop of 51.5%. The average import price rose to US$1,619.4 per tonne, up 3.2% from the previous month and 32.4% compared with October 2024.
Exports in October totaled 3,271.4 tonnes, down 49.7% from September but up 29.0% year-on-year. The average export price climbed to USD 1,716.5 per tonne, reflecting a 10.5% increase from the previous month and a 59.7% rise year-on-year.
For the period from January to October 2025, China imported 514.9 tonnes of epichlorohydrin, representing a 5.4% year-on-year decrease. During the same period, exports reached 64,747.3 tonnes, down 16.7% compared with the first ten months of 2024.
South Korea, India, Taiwan Province of China, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates remained the top five export destinations, collectively accounting for 58,498.7 tonnes or 90.3% of total exports. Exports to South Korea totaled 26,464.3 tonnes (40.9%), while India imported 21,050.4 tonnes (32.5%). Taiwan Province of China received 4,533.4 tonnes (7.0%), Thailand 4,403.0 tonnes (6.8%), and the UAE 2,047.6 tonnes (3.2%).
The data underscores the continued reliance of China's epichlorohydrin exports on key regional markets, even amid fluctuating monthly trade volumes.
