According to the latest customs statistics, China's trade in PVC pure powder showed strong momentum in December 2025. Imports reached 25,000 tonnes during the month, up 56.7% month on month and 13.0% year on year, while exports totalled 314,000 tonnes, reflecting a 14.1% month-on-month increase and a 35.0% year-on-year rise.
On a full-year basis, from January to December 2025, China imported a cumulative 227,000 tonnes of PVC pure powder, representing a 2.6% year-on-year increase. Over the same period, cumulative exports climbed to 3.823 million tonnes, marking a sharp 46.1% year-on-year growth.
In December 2025, China's PVC pure powder imports were mainly sourced from the United States, Japan, and Taiwan, China, which accounted for 69.6%, 16.3%, and 11.2% of total imports, respectively. Exports during the month were primarily shipped to India, Indonesia, and Uzbekistan, with respective shares of 29.5%, 6.6%, and 6.5%.
For the January–December period, the United States remained China's largest supplier of PVC pure powder, with imports of 140,000 tonnes, followed by Japan at 44,000 tonnes and Taiwan, China at 33,000 tonnes, accounting for 61.6%, 19.4%, and 14.5% of total imports, respectively. On the export side, India was the leading destination with 1.514 million tonnes, while Vietnam and Uzbekistan received 236,000 tonnes and 171,000 tonnes, accounting for 39.6%, 6.2%, and 4.5% of total exports, respectively.
