According to the latest customs data, China's dichloromethane trade in November 2025 recorded contrasting monthly and annual dynamics. Imports reached 17.3 tonnes, reflecting a month-on-month decline of 15.8% but a significant year-on-year surge of 146.6%. Exports totalled 23,386.7 tonnes, up 24.1% month-on-month and 74.7% year-on-year. The export price stood at US$338.5 per tonne, decreasing 2.6% month-on-month and 26.7% year-on-year.
From January to November 2025, China imported 159.6 tonnes of dichloromethane, down 92.5% year-on-year, while exports reached 197,275.3 tonnes, up 44.4% year-on-year. Turkey, Vietnam, Brazil, South Korea and Nigeria ranked as the top five export destinations during this period, together accounting for 87,331.5 tonnes or 44.3% of total exports. Specifically, exports to Turkey stood at 28,227.4 tonnes (14.3%), Vietnam 20,591.9 tonnes (10.4%), Brazil 13,949.5 tonnes (7.1%), South Korea 12,372.2 tonnes (6.3%) and Nigeria 12,190.5 tonnes (6.2%).
Meanwhile, China's trichloromethane trade presented a different pattern. In November 2025, imports reached 1,800.1 tonnes, up 2.9% month-on-month. Exports amounted to 93.0 tonnes, down 25.0% month-on-month and 60.5% year-on-year, with the export price at US$309.5 per tonne, decreasing 13.2% month-on-month.
From January to November 2025, China imported 6,988.7 tonnes of trichloromethane, representing a 57.2% year-on-year increase, while exports totalled 1,727.5 tonnes, down 24.2% year-on-year. South Korea, Brazil, Ukraine, Iran and Argentina remained the top export markets, collectively accounting for 1,707.8 tonnes or 98.9% of total exports. Specifically, exports to South Korea reached 1,527.8 tonnes (88.4%), Brazil 72 tonnes (4.2%), Ukraine 60 tonnes (3.5%), Iran 24 tonnes (1.4%) and Argentina 24 tonnes (1.4%). All transactions were conducted under general trade arrangements.
