China's Chloroacetic Acid Trade Shows Mixed Performance in October 2025

According to customs data, China imported 185.8 tonnes of chloroacetic acid in October 2025, a month-on-month decline of 2.4% but a year-on-year increase of 30.3%. Exports reached 4,977.0 tonnes, down 20.0% month-on-month and 38.8% year-on-year. From January to October, cumulative imports stood at 1,538.9 tonnes, down 31.9% year-on-year, while cumulative exports totalled 52,535.3 tonnes, a decrease of 12.2% compared with the same period last year.

Between January and October 2025, China's chloroacetic acid imports came mainly from Germany (696.4 tonnes), the Netherlands (504.0 tonnes) and Japan (179.8 tonnes), accounting for 45.3%, 32.8% and 11.7% respectively. Over the same period, exports were primarily shipped to Turkey (12,400.8 tonnes), Mexico (7,409.2 tonnes) and Indonesia (5,190.0 tonnes), representing 23.6%, 14.1% and 9.9% of total export volumes.
