Customs data show that in November 2025, China imported 0.02 million tonnes of chloroacetic acid, marking an 11.84% month-on-month increase and a sharp 46.50% rise year-on-year. During the same period, exports reached 0.52 million tonnes, up 3.79% from October and 11.28% compared with a year earlier.
From January to November 2025, China's cumulative imports of chloroacetic acid totalled 0.17 million tonnes, representing a year-on-year decline of 27.23%. Over the same period, cumulative exports stood at 5.77 million tonnes, down 10.51% year-on-year. In terms of import sources, Germany remained the largest supplier with 0.070 thousand tonnes, accounting for 42.87% of total imports, followed by the Netherlands at 0.060 thousand tonnes (33.89%) and Japan at 0.020 thousand tonnes (12.87%).
On the export side, Turkey was the leading destination for China's chloroacetic acid shipments, receiving 14,000 tonnes, or 24.22% of the total. Mexico ranked second with 7,800 tonnes (13.47%), while Indonesia followed with 6,500 tonnes, accounting for 11.32%.
