China's Ethylene Output Rises 7.3% in November 2025

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, China's ethylene production reached 3.086 million tonnes in November 2025, up 7.3% year on year. Cumulative output from January to November totaled 33.665 million tonnes, representing a year-on-year increase of 7.1%.

In November, the top five ethylene-producing provinces were Jiangsu, Guangdong, Liaoning, Fujian and Shandong, with outputs of 571,000 tonnes, 472,000 tonnes, 338,000 tonnes, 252,000 tonnes and 217,000 tonnes, respectively. These provinces accounted for 18.5%, 15.3%, 11.0%, 8.2% and 7.0% of the national total.

From January to November, Jiangsu ranked first in cumulative ethylene production at 5.785 million tonnes, followed by Guangdong at 5.432 million tonnes, Liaoning at 3.392 million tonnes, Fujian at 2.888 million tonnes and Zhejiang at 2.487 million tonnes. Their respective shares of national output stood at 17.2%, 16.1%, 10.1%, 8.6% and 7.4%.
